Reckon Radio: Unjustifiable

Unjustifiable is the story of the police shooting of Bonita Carter in 1979, and hundreds of police shootings that led to it, almost all of them written off as justifiable. Carter’s killing changed her city, and was in many ways a preview of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Unjustifiable was the winner of the national Edward R. Murrow Award for podcasts by small digital operations. Listen here or below.

Reckon Radio: Greek Gods

Greek Gods, with Amy Yurkanin, is the story of a secret society at the University of Alabama, modeled after Skull & Bones at Yale. It is a farm club for politicians, dirty tricks, corruption, and the journalists who spend their lives banging their heads against those things.
